Sunday Miscellany: Poet Gerald Dawe remembered by Emer O'Kelly

It was close to midnight on a late summer evening. In the warm still air the candles in my garden didn't even flicker, unlike the conversation, animated, exuberant, and above all happy.

Just three of us remained from the group of eight, silently unwilling to let the evening die. And with good reason.
